Privacy
Who runs this site
Sejmomat is a non-commercial project run by a private individual: Adam Koscielak, contact: adam.s.koscielak@gmail.com. Under the GDPR he is the controller of the data processed in connection with the site.
What happens when you visit
- No cookies, tracking or ads. The site uses no cookies, analytics or third-party scripts (apart from MPs' photos, see below). There are no accounts, forms or newsletters. Search runs in your browser — queries are not sent anywhere.
- Server logs. The hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps standard logs: IP address, date and time, the page requested and browser information. They serve security and maintenance (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and are kept for the period applied by the hosting provider. We do not combine them with other data.
- Browser storage. The browser's local storage (localStorage) holds your choice from the consent bar. Only if you agree, it also holds a count of pages you have viewed and the date you closed the note about supporting the project — so that the note appears rarely and does not come back after you close it. This never leaves your device. You can change your choice at any time with the “Consent settings” link in the footer.
- Photos of MPs. Photos on MP pages and in the games are loaded directly from the Sejm's servers (api.sejm.gov.pl), so the Sejm's server receives your IP address — as it would if you visited the Sejm's website.
- Games (Sejmdle). Progress in the daily games is kept only in your browser's storage, because otherwise the game could not remember today's result.
- External links. The site links to the Sejm's websites, GitHub and buycoffee.to. Once you click, those services' privacy rules apply.
Data about MPs
The site publishes MPs' names, club membership and votes. This is public information about the public activity of people holding public office, taken from the official Sejm API. Statistics (such as “votes against the club line”) are computed automatically as described in the methodology. If you spot an error, write to the address above.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict its processing and object to it — just write to the address above. You can also lodge a complaint with the Polish data protection authority, UODO (uodo.gov.pl).
